We are seeking an experienced Street Works Site Supervisor for a two-week non-working contract role. You will be responsible for overseeing all on-site street works activity, ensuring full compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA), and maintaining safe working practices throughout the duration of the works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all street works operations in accordance with NRSWA legislation and the Safety at Street Works Code of Practice
  • Ensure correct signing, lighting, and guarding (SLG) is in place at all times
  • Liaise with the highway authority, utility companies, and other stakeholders
  • Monitor and enforce safe working practices and site compliance
  • Conduct site briefings and toolbox talks as required
  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation
  • Report any issues, near misses, or incidents to the project manager

Requirements

  • Valid NRSWA Supervisor card (Unit 1–4 or equivalent) — mandatory; applications without this will not be considered
  • Proven experience in a street works supervisory role
