DRAINAGE GANGS REQUIRED – COVENTRY Industrial Unit – Deep Drainage | Start Date: Monday, 10th August 2026 (1 week from now) We are looking for experienced drainage gangs to start on a large industrial unit scheme in Coventry. Deep drainage experience essential. Immediate start available. Gang Structure Each gang must consist of: * 1 x 360 Excavator Operator * 2-3 x Pipelayers Gangs, pairs, and reliable subcontractors will be considered. Job Role & Duties * Deep drainage installation (foul & surface water) to industrial/commercial specification * Excavation, shoring/shuttering, and safe working in deep excavations * Laying and jointing pipework (clay, concrete, plastic – various diameters) * Installation of manholes, chambers, gullies, and headwalls * Pipe bedding, backfilling, and compaction to spec * Working from engineer's drawings and setting-out information * Liaising with site management and adhering to RAMS Skills & Qualifications Required * CPCS/NPORS 360 Excavator ticket (for operators) – blue/gold card preferred * CSCS card (relevant to trade) * Proven experience in deep drainage (min. 1.5m+ excavations) * Confined Space / Shoring & Shuttering awareness/training desirable * SSSTS/SMSTS an advantage for gang leaders * Own PPE (hard hat, boots, hi-vis, gloves) * Full right to work in the UK * Own tools where applicable (pipelayers) * Strong understanding of health & safety on deep excavation works
