Norse UK Management Team – Nominated Person Crew Training
Joining Team Norse is more than getting a job. It is all about belonging. This is an opportunity to join the Norse UK management team in a key leadership role as Nominated Person Crew Training reporting to the Accountable Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for all UK training activity and trainers. This includes both flight and cabin crew, along with the shared service support function provided by our shared services pool in Riga. The successful candidate will have impeccable leadership and communication skills, along with strong regulatory and training knowledge and a good understanding of the safety management system. The role is primarily office based and will require regular office attendance and cross‑functional working with other key functions within the company’s operational structure, along with regular communication and alignment with our sister AOC and its NPCT.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that part D of the Operations Manual includes necessary procedures, instructions and guidance for training personnel to perform their duties; reflects the applicable regulatory requirements and does not contravene the AOC or operational specifications.
- Ensure that any change to part D of the OM is not implemented until CAA approval has been received.
- Manage all contracted organisations and suppliers, conducting crew training or other activities for which NPCT is responsible, ensuring that they have the resources and competence to undertake the activity; have all authorisations and approvals required.
- Ensure hazards relating to flight operations are identified, the related safety risks assessed, and training mitigation measures taken when appropriate to ensure that operations achieve the intended level of safety.
- Ensure both regulatory and departmental compliance is observed and adhered to.
Qualifications
- Ideally, the candidate will have held a training nominated role in an AOC before. Norse will consider candidates with previous training management experience and/or a suitable background accompanied by a strong willingness to learn and adapt to the requirements of the role.
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of the applicable UK safety regulations and the associated requirements and procedures; Norse Atlantic operations specifications; the Operations Manual; thorough knowledge of the training requirements for flight and cabin crew.
- Be familiar with aviation management systems, including compliance monitoring and safety management procedures.
