Step Into the Role
You will play a key role in managing the full sales cycle, focused on revenue generation through effective sales execution, account development, and new business acquisition within environmental testing services. The Junior Sales Manager will take ownership of opportunities from initial engagement through to conversion, ensuring customers are onboarded and actively utilising laboratory services. This opportunity is ideal for someone with sales or business development experience and managing the full sales cycle, who enjoys building relationships, managing opportunities, and working in a results‑focused environment.
Main Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through to deal closure, converting appointments generated both independently and by the Outbound Sales Representative into quotation opportunities and new business revenue.
- You will demonstrate strong commercial awareness, including the ability to confidently defend pricing and margin where required.
- You will conduct sales meetings via Teams and telephone to fully understand customer requirements, develop tailored solutions, and confidently overcome objections while negotiating effectively to secure new business.
- The role also involves increasing share of wallet within existing customers, particularly those without a dedicated Key Account Manager, ensuring customers are successfully onboarded and actively submitting samples to the laboratory.
- Working closely with operations and customer service teams, you will ensure a smooth customer experience while maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date sales records within Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- You will have a proven track record in B2B new business sales within a service‑led environment and will proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across target sectors, building long‑term customer relationships that lead to repeat and expanded work.
- As well as consistently work towards personal, Company, and Group targets while tracking pipeline performance, conversion rates, and revenue generation.
