To provide excellent customer service by delivering/collecting products to all customers in a safe and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out daily checks to ensure that vehicles are clean, safe to drive and ensure records are maintained.
- Being compliant with the traffic laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Maintaining good health to be medically fit to drive; undertaking medicals when required and advising the company of any prescribed medication, that may impact the ability to do the job.
- Reviewing orders scheduled for delivery, ensuring orders are complete and that the customer is satisfied.
- Assisting and supervising the loading of goods to be delivered in a safe, efficient manner.
- Operating equipment and machines whilst reducing the risk of vehicle overloading.
- Using handheld devices correctly to evidence proof of delivery.
- Assisting with the unloading of goods from vehicles on site.
- Providing excellent customer service, providing prompt service and answering customer questions.
- Undergoing training as and when required by the business.
- Providing assistance to other part of the Group where required.
- Complete any other reasonable duties as directed by the Manager.
- Adhere to Group Policies and Procedures.
- Adhere to the Group Health and Safety Policy.
- Adheres to and delivers the Group Values in all aspects of the role.
Essentials Skills and Knowledge
- Is aged at least 25 years to comply with HIAB and insurance requirements.
- Holds a full clean driving license with Category C or willingness to undergo training to obtain it.
- Works with a safety first approach at all times.
- Maintains customer confidentiality at all times.
- Understands and delivers excellent customer service practices.
- Excellent verbal, written communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work within a team and individually.
- Works in a professional and courteous manner.
- Organised with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Hiab trained or a willingness to undergo training to obtain the qualification.
- Knowledge of Guernsey Roads.
