Supporting the Decorating & Building Centre Manager, Supervisor and team to promote and sell products. To
provide excellent customer service, building the reputation of the section.
Key Responsibilities
- Working within a small team to build and maintain profitable customer relationships, driving sales, and seeking new business opportunities with new and existing customers.
- Responding to customer questions and queries both over the phone and in person.
- Greeting customers, offering assistance, recommending products, highlighting offers and referring to experts when needed; ensuring excellent customers service levels are always provided and maintained.
- Working to the schedules and tasks assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.
- Handling and resolving basic queries, escalating if necessary.
- Providing customers with product information by staying informed on the latest industry trends, researching required information using available resources, when applicable.
- Accurately process orders using in-house systems.
- Liaise with other departments to schedule delivery and redelivery of orders.
- Assisting with maintaining stock levels.
- Assisting with maintaining product displays, shelf arrangements and a clean and accessible department for our customers.
- Complete the duties required for the day-to-day operations of the department to be fulfilled efficiently.
- Complete any other reasonable duties as directed by the Manager/Supervisor to aid business/dept success.
- Adhere to Group Policies and Procedures.
- Adhere to the Group Health and Safety Policy.
- Adheres to and delivers the Group Values in all aspects of the role.

- Previous experience in a similar role and/or relevant experience within a retail or shop environment.
