The Project Manager role is responsible for leading the delivery of development and capital projects from early-stage development through procurement, construction and commissioning, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities- Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects from development and permitting through procurement, construction and handover to operations.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including internal staff, contractors and consultants, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
- Deliver projects in line with agreed scope, programme, budget and quality requirements, applying industry best practice to ensure safe and efficient execution.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, quality plans and execution strategies.
- Monitor progress and provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders, including the Board where required.
- Identify opportunities to optimise project outcomes in terms of cost, schedule and performance.
- Work closely with the O&M team to ensure a smooth transition of assets into operations.
- Plan and manage project resources including personnel, equipment and materials, identifying and resolving conflicts where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards and drive a strong HSE culture across the project.
- Work with the commercial team to manage contracts effectively and ensure contractual obligations are met by all parties.
- Implement robust risk management processes, ensuring risks and assumptions are clearly identified, quantified and mitigated.
- Support business planning activities and maintain a strong understanding of the commercial drivers behind projects.
- Collaborate across the wider organisation to develop innovative solutions to technical and commercial challenges.
- Degree qualified in an Engineering or related discipline (qualifications below this may be acceptable if evidenced by suitable experience) – essential
- Membership of an appropriate professional institution (desirable)
