Join us as our new Maintenance Manager in our production site in Glasgow. In this role, you will lead the maintenance function, ensuring that all plant and equipment operate safely, reliably, and cost-effectively. As a key contributor to the site strategy, you will oversee maintenance budgets, drive best practices, and foster collaboration across departments to continuously improve standards in design, procurement, maintenance, and operations.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead the maintenance function as part of the site Leadership Team, driving strategy and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and company safety standards.
- Manage departmental budgets and deliver cost-efficient maintenance performance.
- Improve plant reliability, availability, and performance through best practices and new technologies.
- Plan and deliver annual maintenance outages on time and to standard.
- Lead and develop the maintenance team and contractors, fostering accountability and high performance.
- Oversee suppliers and contractors, ensuring quality, compliance, and value.
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical engineering.
- 5–7 years of solid experience in a Maintenance or Engineering leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate, and manage maintenance teams.
- Experience in setting a vision for the department, structuring operations, and tracking progress effectively.
- Hands-on experience in driving Continuous Improvement initiatives and processes.
- Background in chemical, heavy manufacturing, or process industry preferred.
