We are seeking a technically experienced and highly motivated specialist that is looking to grow and develop their skillset in the role of Junior Production Planner. Apply now to develop your career with NORIT!
As a Production Planner, your daily tasks will include:
- Production activities related to the manufacture of activated carbon and monitor the quality of carbon grades produced.
- Customer orders, planning, and preparing production schedules to maintain adequate stock levels and meet customer orders with correct dispatch dates.
- The production plan around changes in customer orders, plant breakdowns, milling and packaging issues, and off-quality products.
- Working with the Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager, and central planning function to create a yearly production plan aligned with the site production wheel.
- Weekly and longer-term production plans.
- Monthly stock counts for raw materials and packaging.
- Coordinating with customers for sales of intermediate and spent acid, and with customer care and transport to ensure on-time shipment and order advancement.
- Supporting the efforts of Shift Managers to ensure effective operation of the process and delivery of the production plan.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of technical experience in the chemical manufacturing industry or similar.
- Educational degree in Science, Chemistry or Engineering.
- Ability to successfully transfer skills from chemical processing role into production planning.
- Additional experience in production planning is advantageous.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Understanding of Product Uniformity/Variation and Manufacturing Process Control.
- High computer literacy skills.
