We are seeking a skilled and detail-driven Compliance & Certification Manager to lead and manage the organisation’s ISO certification programmes. This role is focused on ensuring successful certification and ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 27001 (Information Security Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety). You will be responsible for coordinating certification activities, maintaining audit readiness, and ensuring systems and processes meet required standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the organisation’s ISO certification processes, including initial certification, surveillance, and recertification audits.
- Act as the primary liaison with consultant firms, certification bodies and external auditors.
- Ensure continued compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other sector specific standards.
- Maintain and improve documentation, policies, and procedures to support certification requirements.
- Coordinate and conduct internal audits to ensure audit readiness.
- Identify gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support departments in aligning their processes with certification standards.
- Deliver training and guidance to staff on compliance and certification requirements.
- Ensure standards are implemented and operated to optimise business benefit.
- Monitor and report on certification status, audit findings, and improvement actions.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing ISO certification processes in one or more ISO standards (9001, 27001, 14001, 45001).
- Strong understanding of audit cycles, certification requirements, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience working directly with certification bodies and external auditors.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple standards simultaneously.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience of working within an engineering or project management environment.
- Lead Auditor certification in one or more ISO standards.
- Experience maintaining multi-standard certification within an integrated management system within a projects, engineering or construction environment.
- Knowledge of risk management and continuous improvement practices.
