We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Licence Optimisation Specialist to join Norgine. The person holding this position will report to IT Leadership and be a member of the Information Technology team. The core responsibility of the Software Licence Optimisation Specialist is to drive the maturity of Norgine's software asset management and licensing processes across IT and, where appropriate, the wider business. This includes ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence for all major software and cloud vendors. The role will focus on strategic oversight, process integration, and continuous improvement, while collaborating closely with key stakeholders to embed best practices and deliver measurable value. You will act as a subject matter expert, shaping licensing strategies, mitigating audit risks, and enabling dynamic licence allocation to support business agility and financial optimisation. This will be a 6-month initial contract role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Lead implementation of application utilization tracking and automate user access and licence recycling to maximize efficiency and reduce unused licences.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of licences acquired for projects, ensuring timely return to the IT pool post-project.
  • Embed into and help manage the cloud licensing process, working closely with the Global Business Partner to ensure seamless integration.
  • Support right-sizing and optimization initiatives for cloud licensing and align with Azure FinOps processes.
  • Assess and support business-facing licensing processes, ensuring alignment with IT licensing strategy and compliance requirements.
  • Take ownership of all licence audits, ensuring readiness, compliance, and effective stakeholder coordination.
  • Manage licensing for Microsoft, Oracle (including OCI), Copilot, and other strategic vendors.
  • Design, document, and continuously improve SAM and licensing processes, including dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with IT, procurement, finance, legal, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in software asset management and licence optimisation with demonstrable cost savings.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft, Oracle (including OCI), and Copilot licensing models.
  • Hands-on expertise with SAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow SAM Pro) and automation of licence management processes.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in analytics and reporting tools.

Desirable:

  • ITIL certification or equivalent process knowledge.
  • Experience with contract management systems.
  • Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud cost management tools.
  • Experience integrating SAM with broader ITSM processes.
