Overview
Role: Junior Distribution Coordinator. Location: Deeside, Wales/UK or related sites. The role supports the European and Export freight, warehousing and distribution network, coordinating with Logistics Service Providers and internal teams to maintain operational flows.
Responsibilities
- Support relationships with local Logistics Service Providers across the Norgine European and Export freight, warehousing and distribution network
- Liaise with the warehouse team on a daily basis to understand their transport requirements
- Liaise with freight suppliers to confirm outbound transport requirements to maintain operational flows
- Maintain the Hengoed transport forecast overview
- Request and obtain transport quotations for new transit lanes or ad hoc business requests
- Generate weekly Hengoed pallet forecasts for communication to third party warehouses (3PL)
- Arrange ad hoc outbound shipments from Hengoed and returns to Hengoed
- Upload third party logistics providers pallet holding into the Global Distribution dashboard on a weekly basis
- Generate the long-term pallet forecast for communication to all 3PL markets
- Participate in weekly meetings with transport providers
- Support audits by locating and providing data related to shipments and delivery
- Support departmental continuous improvement projects
- Data gathering and report creation to support end-to-end product flow from manufacturing sites to third-party warehouses across EU/UK/OW within a complex network
Key responsibilities & accountabilities
- Delivery against key strategic, service, quality and innovation targets
- Development of a \”one Norgine\” culture through model processes and behaviours
- Participation in GD team governance activity
- Participation in GD process development
Complexity
- The role is actively involved in the management of a complex freight, warehousing and distribution network
- Requires problem-solving, cultural awareness, and change management to achieve objectives
Accountability
- Accountable for data gathering and report creation to support end-to-end product flow from manufacturing to third-party warehouses across EU/UK/OW within a complex network
Relationships
- Maintain effective relationships with Manufacturing, Warehousing, Quality Partners, Distributors, and Transport providers
Essential Skills, Experience & Competencies
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good Excel skills
- Good Microsoft skills
- 5 GCSEs (Grades C or above) including Maths & English
Desirable Skills, Experience & Competencies
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical transport, warehousing and distribution operations
- Continuous improvement experience
- A second language (Western European)
