The person holding this position will report to the Senior HR Manager and be a member of the HR team. The core responsibility of the of HR Business Adviser is to provide a range of HR Services and informed employment legislation advice that contributes to the achievement of workplace and organisational goals and performance. This will be a 6 month Fixed Term Contract role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Responsible for supporting the Hengoed site with people issues, working in partnership with the relevant line managers to drive Business and HR initiatives To provide advice and guidance to Managers and individuals on legislation, case law and/or Company HR policies and procedures relating to: Behavioural standards of all employees Advise as required on performance management, discipline, sickness absence, recruitment, grievance and all other HR issues Protection of confidential information e.g. Data Protection, Access to Medical Records, Health Records Ensuring that knowledge of new developments in legislation and case law is kept up to date To develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal colleagues at all levels, dealing with queries on a range of HR issues that are channelled through GBS and Service Now, including: Maternity advice Parental leave Paternity leave Flexible working Special leave Retirement Reward and benefits (within scope of role) Managing and coordinating the recruitment campaign from approval of role through to offer stage Provision of payroll information to global business service provider including maternity, paternity, parental and special leaves, increases in salaries, leavers etc To plan and undertake specified projects as required, as well as improving HR Systems and processes and the level of service delivery To contribute to the provision of advice and services used to maintain employee commitment and relations, within: Absence management (production of absence control information; advice to management, active participation in discussions with individuals and/or their manager, assisting in the review of current practices, putting recommendations forward to assist with the practical application of the policy) Supporting Manager\'s in handling grievances or disciplinary procedures and in group problem solving, resolving differences or in negotiating with different interest groups Preparing and developing relevant learning materials and delivering short practical learning sessions for individuals and groups to support the revision and introduction of HR and employee relations policies and procedures Responsible for the delivery of Exit Interviews with all leavers across the site. Establishing reasons for leaving along with recommendations for the future in terms of the job role, department, or company (including the accurate and timely inputting of all data gathered for future reference) To evaluate and develop other practices and professional abilities by proposing initiatives and ideas regarding improvements and modifications on HR processes (i.e. policies, procedures, practice etc) Utilising the HRIS to its full potential providing routine and ad-hoc reports creating HR dashboards to ensure adherence to necessary KPIs Requirements Degree or equivalent level of experience and knowledge in human resources CIPD qualified or must be working towards CIPD qualification HR experience to include, recruitment, absence and performance management, structural change projects, dashboard creation Sound knowledge of current employment law PeopleSoft Super User ability Power BI This job description is a summary of the typical functions of the job; not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible responsibilities, tasks and duties.
