Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a number of Batch Document Administrator (Part Time) to join Norgine.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain, in conjunction with the Production Scheduler, valid materials requirements plans to support the master production schedule.
  • Generation of batch documentation for use in the manufacturing and packaging areas.
  • Release of works orders and allocate material at the correct lead-time fully supported.
  • Identify issues and resolve any conflicts with the Master Scheduler, Customer Services, Quantity Control, Procurement and Production.
  • Establish a working line of communication with all company functions.
  • Assist procurement in setting priorities when demand outstrips the Suppliers' supply of components/raw materials.
  • Support PPOC and GPMP ordering parameters.
  • Escalate material supply issues to MPS and GPMP as necessary.
  • Check Material prior to batch document release.
  • Add print instructions to batch documentation for products.
  • Generate inventory purchase orders in E1 system and send to suppliers.
  • Process goods receipts for non-stock purchase orders in line with approved standard procedures.
  • Run PO Generator on a weekly basis and raise all relevant purchase orders.

Requirements

  • Develop a working knowledge of the company's products and processes to ensure optimal material planning.
  • Analyse the demand and supply balance at the material levels, determining out-of-balance conditions, identifying alternatives, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Work with suppliers and quality control to optimally call off materials whilst maintaining stock level within policy limits.
  • Observe and follow all stated material requirement planning procedures.
  • Respond in a timely manner to significant action messages generated by the material requirement planning software.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts with respect to material and capacity availability and order promising integrity.
  • Communicate with suppliers to arrange call off of material in line with requirements and contracts negotiated by procurement.

Relationships

Inside the Company

  • Excellent working relationship with operators, laboratory assistants, Team Leaders, engineering, GPMP, finance, warehouse and managers in order to achieve optimal plans.

Outside the Company

  • There will be contact with suppliers and it will be necessary to form excellent working relationships with key suppliers in order to satisfy a formal flexible supply chain.

Skills & Knowledge

  • The job holder requires a good knowledge of all warehousing, production and quality processes used in the supply of product from Hengoed.
  • This knowledge will be used to optimally plan the activity within the factory.
  • The job holder will need to monitor these plans on a daily basis and take corrective action to address changes.
  • Maintain and manage the supply of batch documentation for packing, manufacturing and OSD areas.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
