We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Service Engineer to join Norgine.

Core Responsibilities
  • To be part of a Facilities Team overseeing the day to day operations of the Building and Asset maintenance.
  • The role will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical mechanical systems including, but not limited to, HVAC, Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV), Boilers, Water and Gas/Refrigeration Systems.
  • This role is vital to maintaining compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Facilities - Mechanical
    • Oversee daily operation and preventative maintenance of Mechanical Systems such as HVAC, LEVs, Boilers, Water, Gas and Refrigeration Systems.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
    • Ensure systems consistently operate within validated parameters to support pharmaceutical production.
  • Facilities - General
    • Manage the interface with all departments to promote and work to FEWR system in providing customer satisfaction.
    • Proactively highlighting areas of concern on site that can be planned into the daily works schedule where applicable.
    • Development, implementation and improvement of facilities maintenance SOP’s.
    • Work unsupervised within a pharmaceutical environment to GxP at all times.
    • Manage the planning and delivery of maintenance shutdowns to include cross departmental requirements.
    • Provide upkeep of the HVAC, BEMS and Air Conditioning Units regarding maintenance and repair.
    • Troubleshoots complex mechanical systems. Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment to detect malfunction and diagnoses problems or repairs machines.
    • Manage, review and report on facility equipment performance and operations.
    • Provide reasonable overtime support to effectively resolve both operational and non-operational equipment issues.
    • Be a key contributor to planning and implementing out of hour maintenance and project support, as required.
    • Leading the planning and implementation of facility projects.
    • Assisting with Facility maintenance across the site.
    • Ensure safety and security across the site.
    • Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
    • Provide necessary support to external functions to overcome issues or improvements needed.
    • Work through Risk register of high risk systems across the site to remain efficient.
    • Assists with the efficient flow of maintenance and repair work orders through work facilities.
    • Enforces safety and fire regulations.
    • Scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
    • Maintain efficient running of building, source relevant competitive suppliers for equipment, maintenance, repairs and other facilities areas as required.
  • OEE, H&S, and GMP
    • Maintaining tools and equipment, so that they are in a safe working condition; as well as making sure that the workshop and plant rooms are safe environments at all times.
    • Always adhere to technical procedures and good manufacturing processes (GMP).
    • Work in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with the company’s hygiene code of practice.
    • Ensure all health and safety standards are met and that all equipment complies with company and legal standards.
    • Responsible for the safe control and distribution of site wide gas, electricity, water on site in strict compliance with legal requirements, liaising with service providers as necessary.
    • Manage / direct on-site specialist contractors liaising as necessary to provide relevant technical information on building fabric and equipment.
    • Ensure H&S regulations relating to plant and building are met, including the maintenance of up to date record systems.
