We’re looking for an Analyst (Portfolio Management Office) to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a desire to make a real impact through evidence‑based insight.
About the Role
As an Analyst, you will support our portfolio management function by applying analytical techniques to interpret information from a wide range of sources. You’ll produce high‑quality insights, reports, and visualisations that help senior leaders make informed decisions. You’ll be part of a supportive team committed to continuous improvement, professional development, and the successful delivery of organisational change. Your work will contribute directly to effective change delivery, organisational performance, and meeting statutory requirements.
While experience in portfolio management or PMO functions is an advantage, it is not essential. If you bring strong analytical capability and a willingness to learn, we would welcome your application.
It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience of working within a change environment in a large organisation or qualification such as PRINCE 2, Agile, MSP or MOP at foundation level.
- Demonstrate experience in the writing of terms of reference and the analysis, interpretation and inference development of complex information.
- Excellent ICT skills with previous experience of utilising planning tools and the ability to develop and embed future O365 technology.
- Proven experience of innovation and creative problem solving.
- Demonstrate a high level of analytical thinking, being methodical, creative and having an eye for detail.
- Experience in researching and analysing data from different sources, identifying interdependencies and the ability to draw inference and conclusions utilising both qualitative and quantitative techniques.
- Experience in researching, processing and analysing volumes of data.
- Ability to use the latest data visualisation tools to present analysis, ideally with knowledge of benefits management information.
- Demonstrate effective report writing and presentation skills with experience of delivering updates to all levels within the organisation, with the ability to articulate complex issues.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to use own initiative, work under pressure and manage workloads, whilst working as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal skills, maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships.
It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:
- Working knowledge of data analysis and associated coding (e.g., Python).
- Good understanding of business planning, target setting and monitoring.
- Benefits management / finance qualification.
