Fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity until 31st March 2026

The Endocrinology & Diabetes department is a dynamic area which is expanding to meet popular demand. The department supports a full range of specialist and general clinical services supported by a collaborative and motivated admin team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join us in coordinating a pilot scheme for patients with type 1 diabetes disordered eating. This service will support patients to manage disordered eating and mental health.

This post is very autonomous and whilst you will work with the multi-disciplinary team for this service, a lot of your role will mean you need to be self-sufficient in coordinating the administration involved in this role.

If you are considering applying for this post on a secondment basis, please discuss with your Line Manager prior to applying to ascertain whether this could be supported.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

Coordinating the MDT clinics, diary and clinic management, room management, clinical typing, organising the MDT meetings (rooms, agendas, minutes), attending external meetings. There will be service reviews to discuss the pilot and you will be expected to provide admin support.

You will book clinics, outcome patients and will review waiting lists.

Data management and reporting is a large part of this role, reporting on outcomes, improvements, and patient quality of life, therefore data management experience is essential.

You will be expected to work using your own initiative and will need good communication skills.

The post needs to be worked during working hours, typically 8.30am – 4.30pm. There is potential for this to be a hybrid working role with some opportunity for homeworking after passing your Appointment Support Period. However, there is a real need to be flexible.

Please note, when working in the office, you will be hot desking.

If you have the right skills, have a great attitude to work and believe in our Trust PRIDE values with a real passion for inclusivity, please apply today telling us how you feel you can make a difference to our department.
