We are offering exciting opportunities (Rotational/Static, substantive/fixed term) within our department due to career development and service enhancements. We seek Senior Occupational Therapists or Band 5s ready to progress to Band 6, committed to providing high-quality patient care and supporting the Trust's vision.

Our Occupational Therapy service comprises over 90 staff dedicated to diverse specialisms, providing a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You will work with a variety of individuals, applying a broad range of skills to make a positive impact.

We support your professional development through in-service training, supervision, annual appraisals, peer support, and encouragement for CPD. The Band 6 rotation offers opportunities to expand your skills across areas such as Neurosciences, Acute Medical Unit, General Medicine, Oncology, Orthopedics, and Surgery, with each rotation lasting 8 months.

As an Autonomous Practitioner, You Will:

  • Provide comprehensive, flexible services within your designated area.
  • Conduct specialised assessments and interventions for patients with complex needs, addressing physical, personal, and psychological aspects of self-care, leisure, and productivity.
  • Assess discharge risks to ensure safe and timely patient discharges to appropriate settings.
  • Advise and train patients and carers on equipment use and care plans.
  • Supervise qualified and unqualified staff in daily activities.
