The Radiology Admin & Clerical team is looking for flexible and motivated people to join our team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about providing exemplary service, to work as part of a dynamic team helping to deliver a safe and effective Radiology service at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

The successful candidate will be able to work in a systematic and methodical way, using their own initiative, being conscientious, and having excellent interpersonal communication and customer care skills. Applicants will have a keen eye for detail, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise workload.

This is a varied role including booking radiology appointments by phone with patients, sending letters, coordinating inpatient and ED appointments, and receiving patients on arrival.

Location and Hours

We have both full and part-time vacancies available – please include your preferred hours on your application. Shifts are allocated on a roster basis with the earliest starting at 7am and the latest finish of 9pm. We provide a 7-day service, therefore working weekends and bank holidays will be required. This is a multi-site role, working at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, the new Community Diagnostic Centre (based on NNUH site grounds), and Cromer District Hospital.

You will schedule Imaging appointments for a range of modalities, including Ultrasound, X-Ray, CT, and MRI. This includes calling patients to agree on the appointment date and time, providing directions, and offering relevant information in preparation for their scan.

Answer incoming calls in a timely manner, working with the team to manage voicemails and emails, assisting patients, staff, and healthcare professionals with any queries. You will also cover various reception desks within the department, arriving patients for their appointments and assisting with queries. Some reception desks involve liaising with wards and portering services to arrange inpatient scheduling.
