The predicted salary is between 11 - 15 £ per hour.

Do you have an interest in culture, heritage and history? Would you like to be part of the visitor services team at one of Norfolk's best loved museums and visitor attractions? We are looking for an outgoing and confident individual to join our visitor services team at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse.

This is a seasonal contract working from April to October, with working opportunities outside of these months on a casual basis. The role is very customer focused. You will be welcoming the public to the site and our visitor offer, ensuring that they get the most enjoyment from their visit and our environment.

Regular duties are varied but will include:

  • Selling admission tickets, memberships and retail items.
  • Responsibilities for cash handling and reconciliation.
  • Adhering to health & safety and security policy.
  • Cleaning and minor maintenance tasks.
  • Working on our period farm as part of your duties.

You will be expected to deliver strong customer service, promote and help deliver the museum’s events and activity programmes, and engage with groups and schools visiting, on occasion leading activities. This is a varied and rewarding position. As part of a passionate and dedicated team, you will have experience of working in a customer facing environment to offer a high level of customer care with an approachable and enthusiastic manner. Full training will be given.

The working rota covers a shift pattern over 7 days per week, including regular weekend and bank holiday working, for which an enhancement is payable. Occasional evening work may also be required.
