Overview
As Team Manager you will lead the Supported Accommodation Homes, ensuring high-quality care for young people. You will guide staff and senior practitioners, fostering a safe, child-centred environment aligned with policies and standards. You will manage performance, drive service development, and respond effectively in crises. This role supports county priorities to improve outcomes for young people and families in a residential setting. A strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills will shape practice, balance duty of care with regulatory compliance, and influence cross-agency collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Provide management support to staff teams and senior practitioners across the homes
- Supervise, support, and performance-manage the team to meet departmental standards
- Lead on service development using feedback from young people, families, and other agencies
- Ensure compliance with legislation, National Minimum Standards, and Ofsted requirements
- Maintain consultation and advisory processes to enable compliant service delivery
- Participate in on-call rota for evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- Monitor homes and oversee crisis management and sound decision-making under pressure
- Foster continuous improvement within the homes and ensure alignment with Supported Accommodation regulations 2023
Key requirements
- Background in residential care or extensive experience with children and families
- Significant post-qualification experience related to the role
- Qualification relevant to working with children, young people / families
- Level 5 qualification in management (or willingness to work towards it)
- Commitment to National Minimum Standards and related requirements
