We are recruiting an HR Adviser on a fixed term contract up to the end of March 2027. Whilst located in the People Relations Team within People Operations your focus will be entirely on the delivery of the job evaluation and wider grading function including process redesign.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver caseloads of job evaluation and provide advice to job evaluation and grading appeal panels.
  • Review the job evaluation process, make recommendations for rationalisation and improvement, and deliver the implementation of any changes agreed.
  • Deal with people professionally to propose actions and provide challenge where appropriate, communicating persuasively, clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of job evaluation; ideally have previous experience of undertaking job evaluation.
  • Maintain excellent computer skills; attention to detail and the ability to check work for correctness to ensure records are processed and recorded accurately.
  • Understand general HR issues with a willingness to undertake training in job evaluation, principles of organisational design and HR policies.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of job evaluation; previous experience in job evaluation is desirable.
  • Excellent computer skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Understanding of general HR issues and a willingness to undertake relevant training.

Additional Details

  • We will be happy to accept part time applications for 0.6FTE (22.2 hours a week).
