Norfolk Library and Information Service have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our Locality Manager Team. This role is responsible for the efficient and effective management of several libraries in the Breckland and South Norfolk localities. Working with an experienced and enthusiastic team, it will lead operational and front-line services, engaging local communities and motivating staff, working towards agreed outcomes, and supervising the continued expansion of our work with volunteers.
You will need to be well-organised and customer focused, able to work in an innovative, enthusiastic and flexible way. We are looking for someone who is well-organised, with an eye for detail and compliance, an excellent communicator and willing to learn on the job. You will need to be able to deal with a changing work environment, comfortable with challenge, and able to make decisions and delegate within the procedures and aims of the library service.
As an active member of the Libraries Leadership Team you will have influence on the direction of the service and be required to manage budgets. There will be a working pattern that covers Monday – Friday with evenings and occasional weekends, and travel to other locations will be required.
