Legal Officer | 8265 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £30,559 to £32,654 per annum (Scale G) | County Hall

We are looking for a Legal Officer to join nplaw to provide legal support to our Lawyers. nplaw is a public sector shared legal service with extensive experience advising clients in local government, the public sector, charities, and schools. We offer a wide range of legal services delivered by specialist lawyers who understand the local government context. Our core mission is to serve the public benefit, and we seek a Legal Officer to help us deliver our diverse portfolio of services.

As a Legal Officer at nplaw, your responsibilities will include assisting with legal services to clients, undertaking straightforward transactions and casework, attending meetings, and drafting documentation. You will work closely with Solicitors and Senior Legal Officers on cases and will directly interact with clients, maintaining high standards of customer service. This role offers a valuable opportunity to develop your skills and experience, supported by a talented team and a structured career development plan, with potential to qualify as a solicitor.

Candidates should have a law degree, be CILEx level 3 qualified (or working towards it), or hold a similar qualification. We welcome recent graduates and those with some experience. A good knowledge of law or a willingness to learn new areas, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a desire to progress are essential. Training and support will be provided.
