Residential Children’s Practitioner – Level 2 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £31,537 to £33,699 per annum | Grade G | Kings Lynn

Marshfield’s is a Short Break Residential home based in West Lynn providing short breaks for young people with disabilities and/or complex health needs aged 5 to 18 yrs. We are looking to recruit a full time Residential Children’s Practitioner (RCP) Level 2. You will work amongst a team of staff who are committed to providing a child centred, fun and positive environment for the children.

We are looking for an individual who has experience and knowledge of working with children with a diverse range of individual needs including young people who are neurodiverse. Many of the young people who access Marshfield’s for short term breaks have complex health needs that include gastrostomy feeds, epilepsy, and administering medication. You will be required to provide personal care to the young people we support ensuring dignity, privacy and respect.

As a shift leader you will be responsible for leading the team on shift. You will contribute to children’s care plans, attend meetings and ensure the views and the wishes of the children are sought and acted upon. This is a hands‑on role within the home with children who may require physical intervention. You will need the ability to engage in active play, provide creative activities as well as undertaking manual handling. This role requires shift work which will include weekend working, bank holidays, occasional night waking shifts and regular sleep‑in shifts for which enhancements are paid.
