HR Adviser – People Relations | 8323 | Maternity cover contract up to December 2025 | 37 hours per week | £36,124 to £37,938 per annum (Scale I) | County Hall
We are looking for HR Adviser with a passion for delivering high quality HR services to join the HR team here at Norfolk County Council. Do you have expertise in delivering HR support across the employee lifecycle? Are you able to advise and guide people, and deliver on projects?
The role of HR Adviser will involve delivering everyday people solutions through subject matter expertise, including providing support and guidance to managers. We’re a busy team, with lots of different projects on the go, so you’ll also have the opportunity to be actively involved in project initiatives.
Role
To be considered for the role, you’ll need to have previously worked in an HR role with a proven track record and you’ll be comfortable using your knowledge to provide advice and guidance. In addition, you will:
- Demonstrate initiative and take clear ownership for your deliverables supported by your manager.
- Be proactive and collaborative, but willing at the same time to challenge the status quo.
- Be a good communicator that can build a reputation as a trusted adviser.
- Be curious and analytical when it comes to assessing how we continuously improve our services.
- Develop, build and maintain partnerships and networks, both internal and external.

This is a hybrid role, with a mix of remote and office-based working. A physical presence in our Norwich office is required for a minimum of one day per week.
