We have an exciting opportunity for an organised and committed individual to join our high performing Prevention Team here at Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to act as the Home Fire Safety Advisor in the Norwich area. The role will work closely with the Home Fire Safety Manager, Home Fire Safety Advisors, Operational Crews, volunteers, and external partners to enable the effective completion of Home Fire Safety Visits for those most vulnerable in our communities.
We’re looking for a positive and proactive person with strong communication and organisation skills to manage your workload and ensure priorities are met. This is an exciting role that will see you working closely with partner agencies and our many internal teams to target those most at risk in our communities from fires in the home by encouraging preventative actions and behaviours through engagement.
To be considered for the role, you’ll need demonstrable experience of working with ‘at risk’ groups in the community and delivering information to diverse groups of people, including some experience of working in a public-facing role. You’ll need to be comfortable working flexibly and proactively to set targets.
