Job Title: Family Support Worker

Location: East Norfolk

Contract: Permanent, 37 hours/week

Salary: £25,584 – £27,269 per annum | Grade E

About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting children and their families to live safely together? Do you want to make a positive impact by providing guidance and safeguarding services?

We are recruiting Family Support Workers across Norfolk to join our Community Assessment and Family Time Service. Your role will involve supporting children to remain safely at home with their families through supervised assessments and practical support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and support to children and families during 8-week assessments.
  • Safeguard children and offer guidance, role-modelling, and support as directed by social workers.
  • Assist parents in developing parenting skills and routines.
  • Offer practical support with daily tasks to promote safety and wellbeing.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience working with families in roles such as Nursery Nurse, Support Worker, or similar.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • Willingness to undertake training in Signs of Safety, Restorative Practice, and Solihull within the first year.
  • Good knowledge of child development from birth to 19 years.
  • Flexible working hours, including nights and lone working.
