Family Practitioner – Norfolk County Council
Secondment Opportunity / Temporary Fixed Term Contract until June 2027 | 37 hours per week | £34,434 to £36,363 per annum | Grade H | County Hall.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Family Help Practitioner to manage a complex caseload of Family Help cases within the South Norwich area. The role is based at County Hall.
Responsibilities
- Manage a complex caseload of Family Help cases.
- Work in a fast‑paced environment, using initiative and flexibility to prioritise and adapt to changing child and family situations.
- Identify and manage risk, maintaining review throughout the case.
- Use IT effectively, including proficiency in Word, Excel and case‑management databases.
- Communicate effectively at all levels, supporting the wider team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience working with children and families, preferably in a Family Help or similar setting.
- Strong IT skills – Word, Excel and case‑management databases.
- Resilience and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
