We are looking for an experienced team leader who can deliver operational front-line library services, creating a safe and welcoming environment for customers. You will have experience of supervising staff and dealing efficiently with operational procedures. You will be able to model excellent customer service during a time of change, supporting your team with lone working, increasing volunteer roles, and supporting the Open Libraries programme. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and keen to contribute to the success of the public offer.
Responsibilities
- Promote, advocate and market the library service and monitor and improve the performance of the libraries you manage.
- Ensure building processes, procedures and general administrative tasks are completed accurately, and direct the on-site staff in their frontline duties.
- Lead with strong people skills and the ability to use social media; understand the needs of the local community and work to targets, meet deadlines, and negotiate for strong outcomes.
- Be an advocate for the library service, a skilled communicator who can inspire others, and a champion of change.
- Travel and work evenings and weekends as required.

- Experience as a team leader with demonstrable staff supervision and operational delivery of front-line library services.
