Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust is seeking a Leadership, Development & OD Trainer/Facilitator. The postholder will plan, coordinate, and deliver a high-quality programme of learning and development initiatives for both clinical and non-clinical staff across the organisation, both in person and virtually. This role will provide a comprehensive in-house learning and consultancy service, including training delivery, facilitation, and active participation in workforce development projects. A key element of the role includes developing and maintaining robust quality assurance and evaluation processes for all learning and development activity.

A central focus of the position is to champion the value of learning and organisational development, promoting its impact on enhancing staff experience and improving patient care. Working collaboratively with teams and individuals across the Trust, the postholder will also provide coaching support and contribute to bespoke organisational development interventions aligned with best-practice design principles. The role requires a strong understanding of adult learning theory and the ability to translate this into engaging, effective learning solutions. The postholder must be an adaptable and confident communicator, capable of delivering sessions that are clear, inclusive, and aligned to defined learning objectives.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering innovative, high-impact learning, leadership and organisational development programmes.
  • Identifying emerging training needs and creating engaging in-person and virtual development experiences.
  • Leading complex OD interventions using tools such as 360 feedback and psychometrics.
  • Coaching and mentoring managers, supporting a vibrant coaching community, and developing robust training materials.
  • Driving continuous improvement across all learning provision.

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications: CIPD qualification or teaching certificate or equivalent experience in relevant field; Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience; Specialist knowledge of field to post-graduate diploma level; Coaching qualification; MBTI training.
  • Experience: Developing and delivering programmes in education, training and development; Delivering specialist training to a variety of audiences; Implementing Quality Assurance and Evaluation processes; Managing budgets; Working in an NHS organisation.
  • Skills, Abilities & Knowledge: Strong communication skills; Ability to analyse impact of training; Organising multiple training packages; Knowledge of key theories in NHS leadership; Proficient use of IT skills.
  • Personal Attributes: Care, respect and dignity; Team working; Integrity; Innovation, flexibility and resilience; Emotional intelligence.
