To provide a comprehensive, general administrative and clerical service and contribute to the smooth running of CYP Leadership Team. This post will involve providing support to the senior management team which includes but is not limited to the Operations Director, Head of Service, and the management team. The postholder will work alongside a team which supports and manages Children's Services. This is a varied role, allowing you to immerse yourself within a busy and dedicated team, whilst supporting the children and families who visit our services. This is a fixed term post for 12 months, or secondment with line manager agreement.

Main duties of the job:

  • An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NCH&C Children's Services to provide administration support to the children's management and senior management team.
  • You will work alongside the team to carry out essential admin to ensure the children's management team are supported in many areas of their job role, including diary management, processing orders, attending meetings to offer support and manning the email inbox which is utilised to send requests for support.
  • The postholder will support the administration service managers, as well as the clinical managers. This will include booking specific meetings whilst working to HR guidelines and following the relevant processes, supporting with recruitment into the administration teams and reviewing the absence line.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:
  • Numerate and literate, with Maths and English GCSE (Grade C/ Level 4 or above), or equivalent NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • RSA typing or equivalent experience
Experience:
  • Proven administration experience in a busy office environment
  • Proven experience of working as part of a team
  • Proven ability to organise and service meetings
  • Minutes taking
  • Proven ability to demonstrate systematic approach to prioritisation of work and cope under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of NHS ordering systems
  • Knowledge of HealthRoster

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Teams, Excel and Outlook.
