About the Role: The Executive Assistant plays a pivotal role in ensuring strong governance, effective coordination of the Board of Trustees, and smooth organisational operations. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Trustees, and the wider Leadership Team, the postholder provides high-quality administrative, governance and organisational support.

Key area of responsibility:

  • Manage the CEO’s diary and inbox and workload management.
  • Act as secretariat for Board and committee meetings; schedule meetings, prepare/distribute papers, and draft minutes.
  • Maintain governance policies and procedures ensuring compliance and timely reviews.
  • Coordinate annual governance activities (Board cycle, AGM, away days).
  • Support compliments and complaints processes with accurate recordings and timely responses.
  • Maintain accurate and timely H&S documentation.
  • Assist with data, reporting, and system administration.

What we look for: We provide full training for our roles. However, we will favour applicants who demonstrate the following experience:

  • Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion and its application to the provision of accredited advice.
  • Knowledge of a range of advice issues and an ability to identify safeguarding concerns and how to make onward referrals to the appropriate authority.
  • Knowledge of specific advice issues relating to welfare benefits (including Universal Credit), Debt, Housing and Employment.
  • Good IT knowledge and an ability to support clients in accessing information using IT systems.
  • Previous experience as an accredited adviser in a similar work environment.
  • Experience of supporting volunteers.

Please note that you will likely be subject to a DBS and Right to Work Check.
