Job Title: Holistic Cancer Care Trainer and Quality Improvement Lead

Team: Cancer

Salary: £35,392

Hours: Full Time (37 Hours) 12 Months Fixed-Term

Reports to: Norfolk Citizens Advice CEO

Annual Leave: 25 (This includes 5 set office closure days) plus bank holidays

Pension: 4.5% employer contribution

Job Overview

Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care System is dedicated to enhancing cancer services for our patients and communities, striving for excellence in diagnostics, treatment accessibility, and overall clinical and non-clinical outcomes with a focus on sustained improvement in meeting national Cancer Waiting Times standards and improving cancer patient experience.

You will be embedded within the Norfolk Citizens Advice Bureau, operating under an honorary contract with the Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB) Cancer Management team. You will lead in supporting strategic developments and projects, overseeing associated plans, and serving as a primary liaison for the ICB, Primary Care and Secondary Care services to promote the integration of cancer pathways between providers.

Objectives for the role:

· Manage, provide, plan, lead and analyse training for the workforce on the holistic needs of a person’s pre- and post-cancer journey

· Reporting, auditing, monitoring and quality assurance

· Improve cross-sector working and collaboration in the cancer pathway including improvement in the transition from secondary & primary care

· Enable social prescribing approaches to access support for service users

What we’re looking for:

· Experience in project management

· Knowledge of the commissioning function including planning, assessment of needs, service development/implementation, contracting, performance management/service improvement across health and social care

· Experience in leading and managing a team

· Clear communicator

· Ability to analyse complex issues

· Proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages
