Job Description

Hours: 15 Hours per week

Salary: £25,113.72 per annum (£10,180.95 pro rata)

Job Type: Permanent

Annual Leave: 20 days plus bank holidays & five office closure days (3 at Christmas and two in the summer)

Location: Attleborough Foodbank (Tues morning), Swaffham YBS (Wednesday) & Watton Foodbank (Thurs afternoon)

Pension: 4.5% Contribution

The Role:

We’re looking for a compassionate and confident Adviser to join our team at Norfolk Citizens Advice. This is a part-time general adviser role based across three locations: Attleborough and Watton Foodbank, and the Swaffham YBS. You’ll give advice, providing essential support over the phone and face-to-face, on various issues to people facing financial hardship, housing problems, and rising energy costs.

What you’ll do:

· Deliver one-to-one advice face-to-face and by phone, on any advice area clients may come to us with regarding benefits, housing, finance, and crisis support

· Offer clear, easy-to-understand advice to people facing complex challenges

· Record case notes accurately using our digital system

What we are looking for:

We will provide full training; however, we will favour applicants who demonstrate the following experience:

· Strong communication skills

· Confidence using IT and phone systems

· A calm, problem-solving approach

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Experience in advice, call handling, or support work (desirable, not essential)
