Job Description
A leading law firm is seeking a Senior Business Development Executive to join its Marketing & Business Development team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity cover.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will support BD activity across the not-for-profit, schools, higher education and sovereign sectors. This is a varied role covering pitches, campaigns, events, directory submissions, thought leadership, market research and profile-raising.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting sector BD plans, budgets and growth initiatives.
- Managing pitches, tenders and capability statements from start to finish.
- Planning and delivering in-person and virtual events and webinars.
- Coordinating Legal 500, Chambers and award submissions.
- Supporting thought leadership, campaigns and marketing materials.
- Conducting market, competitor, client and prospect research.
- Supporting profile-raising, sponsorship and external speaking opportunities.
- Working closely with partners, lawyers and senior stakeholders to deliver commercial BD activity.
About you
You will have strong business development and marketing experience within professional services, ideally in a law firm or similar environment.
You will be:
- Commercially minded, proactive and delivery-focused.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
- An excellent written and verbal communicator.
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and influencing effectively.
- Collaborative, adaptable and able to take ownership.
A degree or equivalent experience is required; CIM or equivalent is desirable.
