We are seeking an experienced Senior Bids & Pursuits Executive to join a high-performing business development team focused on delivering excellence in winning work and generating profitable growth.

This role will play a key part in supporting the development of best-practice bids and pursuits, working closely with partners, business development professionals, clients, and other stakeholders.

You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process and helping to create compelling, client-focused proposals that differentiate the firm in a competitive market.

Working across Energy & Real Estate practice areas, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders and business services teams to drive strategic pursuits and improve win rates.

This is a permanent position based in London, offering hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with partners, subject matter experts and business development teams to define bid strategies, value propositions and win themes.
  • Manage the full bid and pursuit lifecycle, from qualification through to submission, presentations and post-bid reviews.
  • Drive best practice across bids and pursuits, promoting consistency, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the writing, editing, proofreading and refinement of proposal content to ensure accuracy, compliance and impact.
  • Work closely with marketing, communications and business development teams to share knowledge and improve pursuit effectiveness.
  • Analyse bid performance, feedback and reporting data to identify trends, enhance quality and improve win rates.
  • Support presentation preparation and coaching for pitch teams where required.
  • Maintain and develop proposal content libraries and knowledge resources.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • At least 3 years' experience in bids, proposals or pursuits within legal, professional services or a similar environment.
  • A proven track record of supporting successful strategic bids and business-winning initiatives.
  • Strong proposal writing and editing skills, with the ability to transform technical information into clear, persuasive and client-focused content.
  • Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality submissions.
  • Knowledge of bid management methodologies and pursuit best practice.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify client needs, benefits and win themes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
