We’re working with a leading international law firm to recruit a Business Development Manager to support its fast-growing M&A and Private Equity practice in London, with additional support to the closely aligned Antitrust & Competition and Tax teams. This is a great opportunity for an experienced BD professional who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders and wants to play a genuinely strategic role in driving growth, client development and market visibility.
The role will include:
- Developing and delivering business development and marketing plans for the M&A and Private Equity practices
- Working closely with partners on individual BD objectives, identifying new business and client development opportunities
- Leading pitches and proposals, from opportunity briefing and research through to presentations, follow-up and debriefs
- Developing client targeting and lead generation initiatives to support revenue growth
- Identifying opportunities to raise practice profile through events, conferences, sponsorships and digital campaigns
- Managing directory submissions, league tables and market intelligence
- Overseeing practice marketing materials, credentials, matter experience and pitch content
- Using proposal and client data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for growth
We’re looking for:
- 6+ years’ experience in BD and marketing, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment
- At least 4 years’ experience supporting a corporate practice, ideally with exposure to M&A and/or Private Equity
- Strong experience in pitches, client targeting and strategic BD planning
- Excellent communication, organisation and project management skills
- Confidence working with partners and senior stakeholders
- A commercial, proactive and resourceful approach, with excellent attention to detail
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities without compromising quality
