Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week

On-Call Duty: This role requires participation in an on-call duty rota,including covering evenings and weekends.
In return, you\’ll receive competitive compensation for your on-call duties

On-Call Availability: For times when you\’re on call but not actively working, you\’ll receive a fixed-rate payment of £18.75 on weekdays and £31.24 on weekends.

Starting Salary: £30,293 per annum, rising to £31,000 per annum after 6 month probation

Location: Barroway Drove -Downham Market

* Due to the nature of the role adriver licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role, mileage ispaid at 45p per mile for cars after your home to work base mileage is deducted.

What is a SSRH? -Short Stay Recovery House
A short term residential recovery programme for people experiencing complex and enduring challenges to their mental health. Providing immediate, community-based crisis support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in a supportive environment.

What is Birch Tree House?
Birch Tree House aims to provide a safe, supportive, and collaborative alternative to acute mental health hospital admission for people with issues that may affect their mental health.

The short stay recovery house will support and provide interventions in the least restrictive environment consistent with people’s health and social care, and safety needs. Equity of access to an alternative to admission for people is ensured.

Who is Birch Tree House for?
The Crisis House is available to people registered with a Norfolk and Waveney GP practice, or living within the STP footprint if the person has no fixed abode. There is a single point of access into this service via Central Crisis Resolution Home Treatment (CRHT) Team.

What You’ll Do:
Lead and inspire a dedicated team delivering compassionate, effective crisis support around the clock.

Manage referrals and assessments swiftly in collaboration with the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHT).

Create a safe, psychologically informed environment (PIE) that promotes recovery, dignity, and respect for all.

Ensure risk management and safety planning are embedded throughout the service, protecting those in crisis.

Drive continuous improvement by monitoring service impact, managing budgets, and collaborating with community partners and healthcare professionals.
