Working Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 4:30PM / 9:00AM - 5:00PM
Salary: £39,745 per annum
Location: Sale Road - NR7 (Travel required across Norwich, Thetford, Kings Lynn, Aylsham and Great Yarmouth)
Driving: Must hold a valid UK driving licence, have access to own vehicle with business insurance. Mileage is paid at 45p per mile for cars after your home to work base mileage is deducted.
Norfolk & Waveney Mind are recruiting an experienced and proactive Senior People & Culture Advisor to join our team and play a key role in shaping a positive future for the charity. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert HR guidance, lead on complex employee relations cases, and support our managers to create an inclusive, supportive, and high‑performing culture. Influencing strategic People & Culture initiatives, ensure our policies remain compliant and aligned with our values, and use HR data to drive continuous improvement. You will contribute to organisation‑wide projects, support change programmes, and work closely with the Learning and Development Training team to strengthen management capability across the charity.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert HR guidance and support to managers and staff.
- Lead complex employee relations cases and resolve issues in a timely and fair manner.
- Influence strategic People & Culture initiatives, ensuring compliance and alignment with organisation.
- Use HR data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Support organisation-wide projects and change programmes.
- Collaborate closely with the Learning and Development Training team to strengthen management capability.
Qualifications
- CIPD Level 5 certification or equivalent, and 5+ years’ senior HR advisory experience with a strong generalist background.
- Extensive experience managing complex employee relations cases and advising on a wide range of HR matters.
- Up‑to‑date employment law knowledge and experience supervising HR staff.
- Commitment to improving staff wellbeing and understanding challenges in the charity sector (pay, recruitment, retention).
- Experience working in multi‑agency environments and with diverse stakeholders.
