Norfolk and Waveney Mind are recruiting a Cleaner to join our Estates & Facilities Team. This is an important role that helps us maintain safe, clean, and welcoming spaces for our staff, service users, and visitors across our sites. You will work across multiple locations, carrying out cleaning, housekeeping, and minor works that support the day‑to‑day running of our buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- General Cleaning - Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and sanitising floors, surfaces, windows, mirrors, fixtures, and fittings.
- Waste Management - Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely and correctly.
- Cleaning and restocking toilets, kitchens, break areas, and communal spaces.
- Using cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers.
- Travelling between sites including offices, public buildings, void properties, and independent living schemes to provide cleaning cover.
- Accurately logging work completed and promptly reporting hazards, maintenance issues, or damaged equipment.
- Completing required checklists and records.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Driving licence (required) – the role involves travelling between sites in a company vehicle.
- Health & Safety awareness, including PPE use, risk assessments, and infection control.
- Ability to work in accordance with COSHH regulations and safely store chemicals.
- Basic IT skills to complete digital checklists and online training.
- Professional and helpful attitude when working around staff, clients, and visitors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
