Job Details

  • Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
  • Work Pattern: Monday – Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM
  • Salary: ÂŁ34,745 per annum
  • Location: Sale Road - NR7
  • Driver Licence: A full driver licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance is essential; mileage paid at ÂŁ0.45 per mile after home-to-work base mileage is deducted.
  • Closing Date: Tuesday 31st March

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of the organisation’s data warehouse, managing the full data lifecycle using SQL, tabular modelling and Power BI.
  • Develop accurate and scalable reporting services to support Executive, operational and back‑office teams.
  • Act as the organisation’s expert on NHS Digital Mental Health Services Data Set (MHSDS) reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with partners and commissioners on data reporting requirements.
  • Produce a comprehensive suite of internal management reports for use across the organisation.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of key systems, including the client management system (IAPTUS), to promote high standards of data quality and governance.
  • Conduct data analysis to support service management—for example, analysing waiting list trends.
  • Provide technical support and training to help teams make the most of business intelligence tools and visualisations.
  • Ensure all data processes meet GDPR and wider data protection requirements.
  • Produce and maintain Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and support the organisation’s DSP Toolkit submission.
  • Assist the DPO with data required for Subject Access Requests.
  • Carry out regular data audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the Information Governance Working Group and contribute to the organisation’s cyber security compliance agenda, including Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Full driving licence and own transport.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with SQL databases (DML, DDL, DQL).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in data modelling within SQL environments.
  • Demonstrable experience in Power BI dashboard development.
  • Experience working with and improving IT systems (e.g., EPR/CRM systems).
  • Experience managing projects, auditing systems, and presenting complex data.
  • Strong IT proficiency, including Office365 tools.
