Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join East Suffolk, Young Adults Mental Health Services\’ Team (YAMHS) who work with Young Adults aged 18 up to 25 years old. East Suffolk CFYP has established Young Adults pathway and Clinical Treatment Pathways to support the service provision. The Community Team Manager for Central YAMHS will be responsible for the operational management of the service delivery within the service. The successful post holder will be supported by a Community Matron and Operational Manager to ensure we provide the highest quality care. There are a range of leadership and training opportunities available to support knowledge and experience development and career ambitions. The Central YAMHS team links closely with the East Suffolk YAMHS Team and East CAMHS teams, providing peer and a clinical support framework. The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people or adults in community mental health, including experience of working with primary and secondary care and the VCSE. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team. If you have a passion for providing safe and effective care, we would love to hear from you. As the Community Team Manager you will provide professional governance and leadership within your team to ensure safe caring, responsive, high quality service is provided to service users, their families and carers.
Responsibilities
- You will allocate work accordingly within the team to ensure effective and efficient use of resources to meet service users and carers needs and monitor the team\’s contribution and performance to the overall objectives of the Trust.
- Provide visible leadership, promote a values-based culture and act as a role model within the environment.
- Lead and manage the team, ensuring they are suitably trained, informed and competent to carry out the full range of duties, with clear processes in place for regular and effective supervision, appraisal, objective setting and personal development planning.
- Ensure safe staffing levels are maintained according to service budget.
- Ensure processes are in place to allocate new caseloads and ensure efficient use of resources to keep caseloads safe and manageable.
- Ensure care is delivered in a patient-centred framework involving service users, families and carers.
