As a Senior Crisis Care Practitioner you can expect to be:
- Answering calls from Service Users and professionals
- Triaging and assessing over the phone
- Safety planning
- Documenting calls, including referrals and notes to other teams
- Acting as liaison with other professionals and teams
- Occasionally creating formulations and plans for regular callers
- Taking lead or championing subjects such as Learning Disability, Youth, Drug & Alcohol, Perinatal, etc. (providing training, knowledge sharing, attending conferences or meetings)
- Shadowing other teams where appropriate
- Delivering brief interventions over the phone where appropriate
- Participating in quality improvement activities
You will also have the opportunity to co‑coordinate shifts, provide clinical oversight and support to practitioners, support teaching and training opportunities, lead on staff development, and serve as a visible role model reflecting the values of the trust and service vision.

We are seeking experienced registered mental health professionals to utilize your clinical skills in a different setting. The 111 Mental Health Option provides a 24/7 crisis telephone line via the 111 service, offering support, advice and assessment in a compassionate, patient‑focused, recovery‑oriented manner. Opportunities are available for both full‑time and part‑time hours, with a combination of shifts aligned with service need. We support professional development and offer the chance to grow your management skills, take on responsibilities, and help shape our service.
