PGME is the Postgraduate Medical Education Team at Norfolk & Norwich Hospital. The postgraduate team organise and provide medical education programmes and deliver teaching for Resident Doctors and Consultants. The team works closely with the medical school and students to provide a seamless medical journey into the NHS. The PGME Administration Team works closely with resident doctors and consultant staff to provide educational opportunities through the provision of relevant teaching and courses.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate for this role would be someone seeking a position focused on Event Management who has a strong organisational background. The ideal candidate will need to be very organised and able to work alongside consultant faculty to ensure the delivery of educational teaching that meets the curriculum needs. This role will include an element of administrative support to the Director of Medical Education, Deputy Director of Medical Education and Operational Manager for PGME. Good secretarial skills would be an advantage but are not essential as training will be provided. You will have autonomy of work and have the opportunities to develop your own workload.

Job responsibilities
- Provide administrative support and guidance to the Head of School (HoS), Training Programme Directors (TPD), Educational Leads, Educational Supervisors, College Tutors, as required
- Assist with the development and implementation of new policies/procedures/guidelines within HEE EoE and Norfolk & Norwich Hospital University Trust.
- Be prepared to travel to meetings and events within the East of England, as required (any travel costs incurred will be reimbursed)
- To undertake work for PGME Department as directed by the Deputy Operational Manager and Operational Manager for PGME.
