Overview

As a Receptionist in the Respiratory Medicine Directorate at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, you will support technical, secretarial, medical and nursing staff, manage appointments, coordinate clinics, handle enquiries, maintain patient safety and keep telephone investigation logs in line with department policy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support services to technical, secretarial, medical and nursing staff.
  • Carry out receptionist duties, prioritise and arrange appointments, maintain appointment systems and coordinate clinics.
  • Deal with patients and staff enquiries in person or via telephone in a courteous and confidential manner.
  • Ensure patient safety and well‑being in the waiting area before appointments.
  • Keep a log of telephone requests for investigations, prioritise and convey messages to appropriate technical staff.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the essential criteria listed in the person specification and demonstrate how they meet the desirable criteria. You will need current UK professional registration if required and consent to a DBS check where applicable. The role is not eligible for UKVI Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship.
