A leading Reinforced Concrete (RC) Frame and Groundworks contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Temporary Works Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the temporary works process across a range of major RC Frame and Groundworks projects, ensuring designs are safe, compliant, buildable and delivered effectively on site.
The Role
As Temporary Works Manager, you will oversee the management and coordination of temporary works from design through to installation and completion. You will work closely with project teams, engineers, designers, subcontractors and site management to ensure temporary works are properly planned, designed, checked and implemented.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the full Temporary Works process across multiple projects.
- Reviewing and coordinating temporary works designs and calculations.
- Managing the design and implementation of formwork and falsework systems.
- Ensuring temporary works are designed, checked and installed in accordance with relevant standards and project requirements.
- Liaising with structural engineers, temporary works designers and specialist subcontractors.
- Reviewing design proposals and identifying potential construction or sequencing issues.
- Supporting site teams with temporary works methodology, sequencing and buildability.
- Ensuring appropriate design checks, inspections and approvals are completed.
- Maintaining temporary works registers and associated documentation.
- Providing technical support and guidance to project and site teams.
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures, CDM requirements and industry best practice.
