Senior Engineer £30m Cut & Carve Project | Central London | Main Contractor Rate to £40ph Salary Negotiable Based C London (W1D) A successful main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join the team delivering a £30 million cut-and-carve project in Central London . This is a highly technical scheme involving the redevelopment and transformation of an existing structure, with significant interfaces between existing and new construction, structural works, RC, groundworks, demolition and temporary works . We are looking for a Senior Engineer who can take ownership of engineering delivery, lead from the front and work collaboratively with the project and design teams to overcome technical challenges and deliver the works to a high standard. The Role As Senior Engineer, you will take responsibility for engineering delivery across allocated packages and provide technical leadership to the wider site team. Your responsibilities will include: Taking ownership of engineering packages from design through to completion
Managing setting out and surveying activities
Coordinating RC, structural, groundworks and specialist subcontractor works
Reviewing drawings, specifications and design information
Managing RFIs and technical queries with designers
Coordinating interfaces between existing structures and new construction
Reviewing subcontractor ITPs, inspection documentation and QA requirements
Leading pre-pour inspections and quality checks
Managing as-built surveys and records
Checking levels, dimensions and construction tolerances
Supporting programme and construction sequencing
Identifying technical risks and developing practical solutions
Working closely with temporary works and design teams
Coordinating with Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors
Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers
