As part of our growth in the Wi-Fi Business Unit we are looking for engineers with experience in embedded software, good collaboration skills, and a genuine interest in embracing new hardware solutions and developing low-level platform code.
With the introduction of the nRF70 Series, Nordic has expanded into the Wi-Fi wireless Internet of Things market with its first product and is now one of the few semiconductor companies in the world to offer all three of the world’s most popular wireless IoT technologies, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular IoT.
The role of Embedded SW Developer offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the platform software framework that is required to support our current and future Wi-Fi products. Your code will run on our reference hardware platforms and applications and will be used by thousands of developers that design IoT products based on Nordic wireless SoCs!
Key responsibilities
- Support new Nordic hardware platforms by designing new software drivers and software frameworks
- Contribute to Zephyr Real-Time OS including developing drivers, proposing new hardware models and APIs
- Porting and integrating protocol stack and chip-support software on new Nordic ICs and reference hardware platforms
- Cooperate with multiple software and hardware teams within Nordic to deliver highly optimized low-level platform code and APIs, ensuring they meet functional and performance requirements
- Identify, analyse, and resolve technical issues and bugs that arise during the development process
- Analyze, debug and improve our extensive set of automated tests executed every day in Continuous Integration
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
- Excellent C/C++ micro-controller programming skills
- Strong embedded software development and debugging skills
- Understanding of microcontrollers and real-time operating systems, such as Zephyr RTOS
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
