A Senior Consultant - Programme Director is a seasoned healthcare IT leader who brings calm, clarity, and confidence to our clients’ complex MEDITECH initiatives.

This individual is trusted to guide clients through high stakes transformation efforts, ensuring their investment delivers lasting value.

In moments of ambiguity, pressure, or change, the Programme Director serves as a steady presence – navigating technical challenges, organizational dynamics, and competing priorities with professionalism and purpose.

This role is responsible for overseeing MEDITECH programs, leading multi workstream initiatives, aligning stakeholders, and driving projects to successful outcomes.

  • What You’ll Need
  • Healthcare IT programme or project director experience with multiple, complex projects
  • Demonstrated success leading MEDITECH implementations, upgrades, or optimization programs on time and within budget
  • Proven ability to manage complex client environments, including executive stakeholders
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to guide teams through uncertainty and change

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide programme‑level leadership for MEDITECH‑related initiatives, ensuring alignment with client goals, scope, timeline, and budget
  • Deliver MEDITECH consulting and advisory services in a programme leadership or oversight capacity
  • Apply deep MEDITECH knowledge to guide system strategy, risk mitigation, and issue resolution
  • Mentor client and Nordic project leaders and workstream leads on best practices, governance, and delivery strategy
  • Identify, track, and elevate programme risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Oversee workflow analysis, documentation, and optimization recommendations
  • Partner closely with client and Nordic leadership on planning, execution, and communication
  • Lead and facilitate programme‑level meetings, including status reviews and executive updates
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the lifecycle of the engagement
  • Perform additional duties as required by the client’s statement of work
  • Represent Nordic at client meetings and, when applicable, corporate events and recruiting initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills And Experience

  • Experience with MEDITECH platforms (Expanse strongly preferred)
  • Programme management experience required; Prince2 or PMP strongly preferred
  • Experience with healthcare IT within the NHS strongly preferred
  • Experience leading large, multi‑phase healthcare IT initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Self‑starter with strong accountability and follow‑through
  • Highly adaptable and able to quickly acclimate to new clients, teams, and environments
  • Comfortable with varying travel and on‑site expectations based on project needs
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and lead others
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and respect for others
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to Nordic’s values
